Finding celebrity-approved skincare can seem impossible! How do the big stars and celebs juggle travel, their on-the-go lifestyles, all while maintaining perfect and flawless skin? Thankfully we have you covered and have found the tips so that you can achieve healthy and glowing skin too! We sought out our favourite celebrity skincare tips 2020 (and products!), so read on to find out more.
Alicia Keys: Obagi Nu-Derm System
Number one on our celebrity-approved skincare tips is from A-List celebrity, Alicia Keys. She has spoken about using Obagi products before on her pledge of No-Makeup Movement - Alicia uses the Nu-Derm skincare range to achieve her luminous skin with reduced acne, reduced hyperpigmentation and decreased signs of ageing.
Feeling like we can go makeup-free whenever we step outside would be a dream come true for some. But the reality is, most of us are used to spending hours prepping our skin for a full face of makeup daily. Skincare companies like Obagi Medic have proven to change and transform lives with their Obagi Nu-Derm System. Read more here.
Kendall Jenner: Egg White, Lemon and Honey DIY Face Mask
Kendall shared this DIY egg white and lemon face mask in an interview with Vogue Australia. She says that it helps balance her skin's pH levels and fights off her acne effectively. Her spot treatment is for wonder blemishes and can be left on throughout the night or while you're at home during the day.
Just like a commercial treatment, the ingredients provide acidity (the lemon and baking soda) to blast the spot, while also soothing the skin with calming honey. Jenner beats the egg whites and honey with juice from half a lemon, applies to her face and waits 30 minutes before rinsing (we recommend ensuring your honey is as natural as possible).
Victoria Beckham: Barbara Sturm Face Products
Back in 2019, Victoria Beckham posted to her Instagram a story of her wearing a Barbara Sturm face mask to sleep - she said this left her skin feeling 'super hydrated and clear'. As with many face masks, instructions usually guide around 10-20 minutes for the product to be sufficiently absorbed. However, the longer you leave the face mask on your skin, the more you will reap the effects of the ingredients!
Most recently, Victoria has shared her love for Dr Barbara Sturm's collection. On display across her stunning marble bathroom counter is a bottle of Barbara Sturm glow drops, skin food capsules and cleanser and hyaluronic serum. Find out more here.
Sofia Vergara: SPF
"In my twenties, I started to use sunblock on my face," she told People. "I wish I had put it on my chest too," Vergara shared with People.
This is one of our favourite celebrity-approved skincare tips. If you are serious about shielding your skin from sun-induced damage, then the Obagi Matte Sun Shield sunscreen is perfect for you. To use the sunscreen, apply the lotion liberally 30 minutes before sun exposure and regularly reapply after towel drying, swimming or perspiration. For maximum protection from the sun and UV rays, cover your skin as much as possible when in the sun and try to minimise the time spent in the sun during the hottest parts of the day.
Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox: Swisscode Pure Hyaluron
Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox utilise Swisscode Pure Hyaluron for youthful-looking skin. It provides the same benefits as derma fillers without the 'frozen' look that Botox can induce.
The hyaluronic acid found in the serum enters into the deepest layers of the skin to keep it truly hydrated. At the same time, it leaves an invisible film on the outer skin allowing the acid to do its work slowly to rejuvenate the skin. Like Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox, if you're looking to hydrate and plump the skin for a soft feel that will make you look younger, this one's for you.
