Combat Sensitive Skin

by Posted in Skin .

Sensitive skin can be a real pain if you suffer from dryness and redness. There are a number of factors which can affect the severity of skin surface renewal and as a result can become what’s called ‘problem skin’.

Nobody is perfect when it comes to their skin’s overall appearance and sensitivity is just one of the skin conditions that people face every day. It can be difficult to treat this particular skin type due to its delicate nature, not to mention the amount of information listed on the web which can be conflicting. So knowing what will benefit your skin is a task in itself.

Some of the common indicators of sensitive skin are; itchiness, flakiness, patchy redness, tightness and soreness. Whether it is the body or the face that is affected, it is important to be able to target problem areas and understand your own individual skin type.

Over time skin can become damaged by a number of internal factors as well as external factors – these include but are not limited to; age, hormones, lifestyle, diet, stress, air conditioning, hot and cold weather and harsh smoke to name just a few. There’s no denying that there are many contributing factors which can cause damage to our precious skin, but the good news is that there are ways we can reduce and even prevent these dermatological issues.

We at Skin Station understand that each person’s skin is individual, which is why we offer an extensive range of individual products to suit different skin types, including sensitive skin. Our specialist products enable people to treat their skin on an everyday basis so they can go about their busy lifestyles without having to worry about poor skin conditions.

The key thing to remember when trying to care for skin is to firstly understand what skin type you have and then look at the best ways to combat the problems associated with that skin type . So whether that’s oily skin, dry skin or sun-damaged skin, be sure to cleanse, tone and moisturise with the highest quality of products and you won’t go wrong.
