Daily Skin Care Routine

by Posted in Skin .

We know just how important your skin is to you, that’s why we work tirelessly to provide you with the best Obagi products for young, healthy looking skin. We’ve given a lot of advice on the best treatments, products and methods for taking care of your skin, but what about a decent skin care routine?

Morning Routine

Early Mornings

This may sound like a terrible idea to most people but regulating your body to wake up at a set time leaves you feeling and looking less groggy. Waking up an hour before work (and we mean getting out of bed) helps to start your waking up process. It gives your body time to adjust and helps to prevent your skin from looking tired when you leave the house an hour later.

Morning Wash

Washing your face in cold water first thing in the morning not only wakes you up fast, it also removes dirt particles from your pillows and the sleep from your eyes. This vital step in your morning routine should be performed before you’ve even gotten changed to allow your body a full wake up and improve your concentration before you start anything else.

Blackhead Remover/ Cleanser

Whichever product you chose to use, it’s best to use them as part of your morning routine. This will further help to clear up your skin from the night before and means that your day is spent with the product working at clearing up any blackheads you may have.

Moisturising!

We can’t stress to you enough just how important it is to moisturise your skin after using any products. Any moisture that may have been removed through exfoliation or cleansers can be easily replaced thanks to a moisturiser suitable for your particular skin type. For people with dry skin, it’s even more important to protect yourself with a suitable moisturiser for your skin type.

Evening Routine

When it comes to the evening, before you go to bed, remove any makeup. Keeping on your eyeliner, mascara, and foundation prevents your skin from breathing properly and can encourage spots to form.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin before bed allows your pores to open and any dirt or grime from the day to be removed effectively for a clean and oil free night. Don’t forget to moisturise, this will help keep your skin soft, smooth and hydrated through the night.

Early Nights

Trying to keep your sleeping pattern regulated gives your body time to unwind and relax after a busy day. This prevents your skin from looking old, dry and tired when you wake up in the morning, giving your skin enough time to rest before you start your routine all over again.
