BATH SALTS



Bath salts or Epsom salt have been widely used as a very easy and inexpensive way to detox, improve health and relieve stress. After a long day or week, many opt to wind down and relax by making yourself a warm bath with Epsom salt.

Bath salts can help relieve skin irritations, inflammation and even soothe and moisturise the skin. All you have to do is use 1 to 2 cups of bath salts and add a tablespoon of olive oil in a standard sized bathtub. Soak for at least 12 minutes and do this 2 or 3 times a week for best results. If you do not have a bathtub at home, you can also do this in the shower. Use 1 cup of sea salt, 1/3 cup of coconut oil, and 1 tablespoon of vitamin E oil. Mix the ingredients and create a thick paste. Apply this scrub to your body and a little on your face and leave it for a few minutes. Voila! You’ll have your bath salt equivalent in shower form in less than a matter of minutes.


ICE THERAPY



Ice therapy or what some would call ‘skin icing’ has become a great morning and evening ritual for some. This type of therapy is used in spas and for skincare treatments like cryotherapy. It’s known to fight the formation of wrinkles, heal acne and blemishes, and promote blood circulation and to refresh the face. Some would even say that it has reduced the appearance of their puffy eye bags. 

Instead of going to spas for expensive treatments, you can do this at home using ice cubes. For a more refreshing ice therapy session at home, all you have to do is soak a cucumber in water and make ice cubes out of it. Apply it all over your face for 5 minutes or so. Do this 2-3 times a week.
