There’s a lot that you can do to maintain healthy, fresh and young skin. Your body needs vitamins to survive, and your skin is no exception, so we’ll take a look at some of the most important vitamins that will make your skin look fantastic.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A can help to improve the health of your skin and is good for wrinkles. It is also beneficial for your immune system, so will improve your overall health, which often has a knock-on effect on your skin.

Where to find it: cheese, eggs and yoghurt are great sources of vitamin A. Liver is a very rich source of this vitamin too, but it is possible to have too much of it if you eat it more than once a week.

Recommended daily allowance: 0.7mg for men; 0.6mg for women.

Also known as riboflavin, this vitamin is great for the health of your skin and eyes, as well as helping the body to release energy.

Where to find it: milk, eggs and rice provide vitamin B2, but keep them out of direct sunlight as UV rays can destroy riboflavin.

Recommended daily allowance: 1.3mg for men; 1.1mg for women.

This vitamin is known to be good for skin as it helps to protect cells and enables the healing of wounds.
