Kelo-cote Formula Scar Gel is a silicone gel for the management and prevention of scars. Kelo-cote can be used on scars resulting from trauma, surgery and burns. It can also be used on Keloids.
Kelo-cote scar gel self-dries to a waterproof, gas permeable membrane that acts like an extra layer of skin. The silicone scar gels helps to soften, flatten and smooth the scars, while maintaining the moisture balance and elasticity of the adjacent skin. It has also been shown to reduce the discoloration and itching associated with scars.
How long does the Kelo-Cote Silicone Scar Gel take to work?
It is recommended to use the Kelo-cote scar gel for 60 to 90 days. During this time, the scar gel should start to work. If there are no significant improvements after 90 days, we recommend continued use.

Kelo-cote is used to prevent, reduce, help and treat keloid and hypertrophic scars resulting from general or cosmetic surgery scars, injury or burns, acne scars, and pregnancy stretch marks scars. How to apply: -For best results apply Kelo-cote scar gel twice daily (morning and evening) on clean dry skin for a duration of 60-90 days. Larger and older scars may take longer to see results and continued use is recommended if improvement is still seen after the initial 90 days. -Once dry, Kelo-cote scar gel can be covered with pressure garments, sun block or cosmetics. -Kelo-cote must not be used on broken skin. |
