Skincare 101

In 2022, the world of skincare is becoming a lot more and more sophisticated. Thanks to our heightened awareness of our skin barriers, we have become more wary of the products we are using on our skin. As every skin is unique, we no longer expect the same product to work for everyone. A huge variety of skincare has been developed to serve your skin’s wishes best. Whether you’re struggling with hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles or you’re looking for a treatment for your blemish prone skin, each skin concern can be tackled with the right skincare products.

The Key To Healthy Skin

It’s not hard to notice the vast rise in the demand for supplements to boost your skin (and mood) from the inside out. For the truly committed, it would seem no ingredient is off the table. Dr Barbara Sturm starts her day with a fresh glass of purslane; the leafy green that you will find is the main ingredient in her skincare line.

As for us, our 2022 skincare resolution is to take more time for self-care. Whether it’s using a face mask once a week, having an at-home LED light treatment, or taking supplements to nourish our body from the inside out.

Top Skincare Tips

When moving into a new season, it can be difficult to match your skin’s needs. In the winter, it is likely that your skin is more dry, patchy and perhaps even a bit flaky. You may need to step up your game when it comes to hydrating your skin, and choose skincare products that deeply penetrate into the skin.

Another must-have for autumn and winter is Vitamin C, one of the most important ingredients in skincare. Vitamin C, also known as L-ascorbic acid, is an effective ingredient that helps to brighten the skin and diminish the signs of of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles. And don’t forget about your SPF! Don’t be fooled by the low temperatures and clouds, UV rays can still harm your skin drastically if you don’t wear sunscreen on a daily basis.
